In a town in Veracruz being buffeted by cold northerly winds, seven men and woman start out on paths that will change their lives. The film tells the story of an entrepreneur who, after going bankrupt, leaves the city to join his father in the countryside. His father is a guide dog trainer, and it is there that he meets a puppy named Alma. Marie, a piano student, loses her sight, gets a guide dog, and thus also meets Alma. The dog then connects the lives of these two people who have lost something (sight or business success) and soon get a chance to find something else.
